One of my favourite bands is Skipping Girl Vinegar, who have recently been getting airtime on The J's with their fun and folky 'Sift The Noise' album.
At their album launch last year, they made mention of their Postal Revolution, which encourages people to get back to the era of letter writing.

I have to say that they have a good point:
- Send me a letter and you've got my attention,
- Send me a hand written letter and I know there is a personal message here that someone has taken the time to compose,
- By sending me a letter you'll draw on some of the romance of days gone by.
Romance, huh? How did we get onto that?
My wife, some friends and I were recently chatting about throwing out letters from past lovers when you get married. (it's prob a good idea!)
At a funeral I once went to, love letters written by this grandpa when he was away at war were read out to reveal amazing stories, feelings and insights from days gone by.
I cannot see anyone purging and reading any of my emails (or this blog even) when I'm gone... It's just not the same.
Inspired by Skipping Girl Vinegar, I've recently written letters to soon to retire Petro Georgiou, The AIPP and now the team at Etiko.
