
The Body Shop's latest awareness campaign about the importance of safe sex in fighting HIV has been hushed by a suburban shopping centre not far from my work - you may know it, it's called "The Glen".
The Glen management have decided that the campaign could draw complaints and have asked for the materials to be removed from the shop window...

It seems that the removal of the 'offensive' poster caused as much of a stir as when it was there.
Let's just hope that the real messages of the campaign -
- not talking about HIV, one of the world's biggest killers, is socially irresponsible
- pretending people are not having sex is naive and not talking about sex is dangerous, and that
- promoting SAFE sex is one of the best ways of fighting the HIV virus.
